Layla Rose Wallace

Because I tested posistive for Group Strep B during my pregnancy, I had to have rounds of antibiotics and baby Layla had to be tested for it 48 hours after she was born. So we have been in the hospital for 48 hours now. It has been a nice stay. The staff and all the nurses have been so attentive and nice to me and my family. We had such a big and nice room for our friends and family to stop by and visit to see us. The couch was still pretty uncomfortable, but that never stopped Rob from sleeping on it at night so I wasn't left alone. We are waiting for our discharge papers and to get checked out by the pediatrician today before we can be released, I am so excited to go home and be with all my family.
Here are some more pictures of our life during our hospital stay. Enjoy!

Bella was so amazed with the baby. She kept pointing at my stomach and then to Layla. I could tell she was wondering how it came out of there.

Daddy napping with his little girl.

Grandma Wallace holding Layla for the first time.

Alyssa loved sitting still and holding her baby sister for a long long time.

This was my amazing labor and delivery nurse, Libbie. We had fun with her.

I was so tired yesterday afternoon that I fell asleep sitting up on the couch.

First time daddy held Layla.

Grandma Peterson brought the older girls to see their baby sister right after she came out. They were so excited to see her.

Aunt Olivia assisted in the delivery.

Right after the doctor put her Layla on my chest. I couldn't believe how much bigger she was than my other girls when they were born.

What a beauty! Your little family is 5 is precious! It looks like you have two great helpers on your hands... and they both look pretty excited to be big sisters! Congratulations again! I hope these next few days of adjusting to being a family at home will go as smoothly as Layla's arrival did! Good luck, Mommy of 3 angels!
