Layla just turned 6 months old and I realized that is half of a year! It is crazy to think of it that way. She is growing up so fast and it is fun to watch, but also kind of sad. I wish she would stay small a lot longer.
She is still napping twice a day, which helps me be able to get more done. She laughs and smiles a lot. She rolls around and wiggles her way around to where she wants to go. She can sit up for a short periods of time by herself. We started her on foods and she hasn't liked a lot of the vegetables yet. Imagine that?
At her 6 month check up she received 3 shots and she was not happy about that. She is much more alert and aware of something coming and she looked at me like, "why are you letting them hurt me?"
Our chunky monkey is growing like a weed. For record purposes these were her 6 month stats:
Length 26 1/2 inches -56%
Weight 18.9 pounds - 79%
Head - Whopping 98% (maybe this means she will be a genius!?)
The most exciting thing about her being this age for me is that she is FINALLY sleeping through the nights. Let the chorus sing...HALELUAH! I am a better mom when I have rested at night.
We are so happy to have this little monkey in our family. What would we have ever done without her? I love you baby girl.
