The other morning I was in the shower and Layla was in her buzzy seat in the bathroom where I could see her. Bella was watching morning cartoons. Layla all the sudden freaks out crying and I am hurrying as fast as I can to get out of the shower to get to her. Then I notice the crying stopped. I looked out the shower door and see Bella putting Layla's pacifier in her mouth very gently and saying, "Shhhhh baby." over and over to her. It totally worked and I was able to finish my shower in peace and quiet. I was very proud and grateful for big sister Bella.
Here are a couple of fun pictures that I took of the girls in their "big sister" tee shirts that I had made by a friend. They wore them to the hospital when Layla was born. It was fun for them. They love wearing them.
Layla had a big surprise for mommy this week - her embilical cord FINALLY fell off! This is a picture of her cute little belly button.
She was able to take her first in the water bath, and she loved it!

Layla had her first play date with her friend Tallin. He is about 3 weeks older than her.

Mommy got a special care package from our Swiss friends. In the package were two very sweet and unique homemade hair bows. I loved them, and had to take a picture for her to see right away!

Also a BIG THANK YOU to all the wonderful friends that have brought my family meals and come to visit us. We really appreciate that thoughtful service that you have given to us. We know that everyone of you have busy lives, and it means a lot to us that you took the time to show us you care. It made the transition of a third baby and my mom leaving a week ago a lot easier to handle. THANK YOU!

Congratulations on your new baby girl! I can't believe it's been 4 weeks since she was born. It's been fun to see her on your blog and to follow how things are going! Hope all continues to go well for you! Keep in touch!
Aww, honey! Such cute girls. I wish I could get my hands on that baby for a moment. I'm feeling like my baby is disappearing before my eyes into a big boy already and I would love to hold a little one again! So beautiful. I loved the story of Bella soothing the baby while you were in the shower. What a sweet girl. Glad to hear she is talking more and more. I'm sure that is a delight to your ears. Just try to remember that when she is a teenager! :0) Love you to bits. xoxo
