However, one thing I wasn't thinking about when we designed these beds was how hard they would be to make. An almost 8 month pregnant chick should not be up on a top bunk bed trying to make it. It just isn't a pretty sight! Robert is working on the finishing touch- the LADDER! Of course that will make things so much easier and safer to get. It can not be done a day too soon! I almost have a wild hair to leave the beds unmade until the ladder is done. Almost! :)

Daddy's Handywork!
For the past three months it seems all our free time has been sucked into building, painting, and putting together these homemade bunkbeds. For awhile I thought we'd never get them done. But I am happy to announce that beautiful beds have been what our girls have been sleeping in the last 2 nights. Bella looks like a little miget sleeping in a giant's bed, and she will have plenty of room to grow in it. I hope that these beds will be in the family for a long time. They just LOVE that their daddy built them special just for them!

They turned out great! All your hard work has paid off, and it looks like the girls think they are pretty neat too. I can't wait to see them in person when the new baby arrives.
Those are amazing! He IS a freakin' genius! :0) xoxo
I love them! Too cute! I got the giggles when you were talking about being pregnant and climbing on the top bunk...I had to climb up on Max's top bunk and read a story and say our prayers every night when I was huge with Kaysie! There were times I thought I might be stuck! ;)
YEAH!!! they look GREAT!!
