Printing a Retraction...

As you know from an earlier post, last week we had signed a contract agreement on our house. We were happy with the sale price and we were set to close October 31st. We were frantically making plans for our new house, looking for a place to live until it was done, etc..etc..etc..
Then the dreaded day came-Inspection Day! Just to remind you, our house was build in the 1960's and even though we have done a lot of work to it, it is still an old house. So anyway, the mess of men came and went, and then came the terrible news. "We would recommend the house gets piering done because of shifting, and that the air conditioning unit be replaced because it is insufficient." WOW! We were not expecting those things to be an issue. We hadn't noticed any shifting or problems and our air conditioner, although it is old like the house, it still works just great.
All day today we have been going back and forth with the buyer's realtor trying to work out a fair deal for both us and the buyers. But, unfortunately they wanted to buy a "like new" house for at a "like old" price. After all the work we have put into this house, we are just not willing to give in to just anything.
So it looks like we have NOT sold our house yet. I know that the Lord has His hand in all things. I have to believe that someone great will come along at the perfect time. Sometimes what I want right now, just isn't what the Lord knows I need. Until then, the For Sale sign is once again in our yard and we hope that someone great will come along soon.

Oh! That stinks! I'm so sorry that you have to start over. I hate when stuff like that happens. You get all excited for something and it looks like everything is going to work out, and then it gets ripped out from under you. I'm so sorry. Here's hoping another buyer will come along soon!

Oh, ugh, ugh, ugh! We covered all this territory on the phone the other night, which, by the way, was a highlight of my week! I love visiting with you! But I just want to say that the right buyer will come along. I just know it! Hang in there. Hugs to you and your family.

I'm very sorry that you are sad, things will work out. But in the mean time, I'm very happy you'll be in our ward longer :)
